Medieval scribes
It is winter and white snowflakes are waltzing down from the sky. In a monastery somewhere in Central Europe, fire is crackling, and scribes are busy. They are copying religious texts and old chronicles, in Latin, in that impossible medieval script, making a few mistakes here and there, for the researchers to puzzle over a few centuries later. Printing press already exists, but here, work is done manually still.
