It's 28 degrees and nearly pitch black. The tiniest sliver of the moon overhead barely illuminates the surreal scene before you. You were one of the lucky ones, allowed a seat in one of the too-few lifeboats to escape Bruce Ismay's greatest failure. Two rows ahead of you is that nouveau-riche Margaret Brown from Colorado; you remember being disgusted by her glibness at dinner two nights ago. She now sits and stares blankly ahead, speechless. You've never felt so cold. You wrap your fur around you tighter and try to minimize your shuddering. The grinding of your teeth almost drowns out the sounds of all the poor souls who weren't able to make it to a boat...
